Full day trip with stop in Třebíč town where the Romanesque Basilica of St Procopius and Jewish Quarter with the Rear synagogue and the Jewish cemetery are inscribed in the UNESCO cultural heritage list. Our next stop on this trip is a beautiful town of Telč with the main square surrounded by picturesque burgher houses of the Renaissance origin. Remarkable interiors of the Telč castle, originated in the second half of the 16th century is still undiscovered gem of the Czech Renaissance.

  • morning pick up in Brno hotel (or another place upon request)
  • first stop in Třebíč  town (introducing short history of the town, visit to the Romanesque Basilica of St Procopius, walking in the Jewish quarter, visit the Jewish cemetery)
  • drive to Telč town, walking sightseeing in the historical town centre, visit to the fairytale Renaissance Telč castle

Litomysl castle

During this full day trip we will visit two UNESCO sites- the Pilgrimage Church of St John of Nepomuk at Zelená hora and Litomyšl town which is the birth place of famous Czech composer Bedřich Smetana. While in Žďár nad Sázavu town we will learn about the life of one of the most important Czech patron St John of Nepomuk and we will discover a masterpiece work of the famous Czech architect Jan Santini Aichel, in Litomyšl we will visit the castle which is considered to be the most beautiful Renaissance castle in Central Europe.

Vranov nad Dyji castle

Day trip to Znojmo town located near the border with Austria on the left bank of the river of Dyje. Znojmo is the entrance gate to the National park of Podyjí and the center of Znojmo wine sub-region. Among several interesting monuments such as the town hall, the castle and St Nicholas church stands above all the Romanesque rotunde of Saint Catherine where the oldest Romanesque frescoes depicting life of Přemyslid royal house are preserved. Afternoon we will visit Vranov nad Dyjí castle standing on the 76 m high rock outcrop above Dyje river.

The Battle of Austerlitz

Trip to Austerlitz Battlefield

The Napoleonic battle of Austerlitz also known as the Battle of the Three Emperors is regarded as the greatest victory of Napoleon Grand Army. The battle, which changed the mat of Europe, took place in the region to the east of Brno on December 2 in 1805. The battlefield covered an area of 120 km2 and affected 25 communes.

On this tour we will visit most strategic positions where later raised monuments and the highlight of the tour will be the Baroque Slavkov Castle which hosted during the battle all Three Emperors. On our way back to Brno we will make stop at The Cairn of Peace Memorial which was built to honour all the victims of the Battle of Austerlitz.

Kutna Hora UNESCO town

Trip to Kutna Hora UNESCO town

Day trip (8 hrs) to Kutná Hora UNESCO town, located about 2 hrs driving from Brno towards Prague city. The town, thanks to its enormous deposits of the silver ore, was once time the second most important town in the Czech Lands. Although the mining activites stopped in the early 18th century, the town has preserved its medieval look created by famous architects who contributed in building of Prague city. We will start our tour in Sedlec suburban, where it all begun in 1142. In this place we will visit the Catheral of the Assumption of Virgin Mary and the Charnel House famous for its ossuary which premises are decorated with human skulls and bones. Our following walking tour in the town we will start at the Italian Court where we will learn more about the mining history of this town. All day trip will be terminated at the Cathedral of St Barbara, considered to be the highest gothic masterpiece found in the Central Europe.

Hike along the ridge of Palava Hills

Along the ridge of Pálava Hills

Pálava Hills, part of Pálava Protected Landscape Area, is 20 km long limestone ridge stretching to the very south of Moravia from the crook of Dyje river around Mikulov town to the state border with Austria. The area is continuously inhabited for tens of thousands of years according to archaelogical finds like famous Venus of Dolní Věstonice. On the territory of Pálava Hills are several nature reserves that protect valuable local areas. On the trail we will see ruins of 2 castles and we will reach the highest point of hills the Děvín.
