Trip to Kutna Hora UNESCO town

Day trip (8 hrs) to Kutná Hora UNESCO town, located about 2 hrs driving from Brno towards Prague city. The town, thanks to its enormous deposits of the silver ore, was once time the second most important town in the Czech Lands. Although the mining activites stopped in the early 18th century, the town has preserved its medieval look created by famous architects who contributed in building of Prague city. We will start our tour in Sedlec suburban, where it all begun in 1142. In this place we will visit the Catheral of the Assumption of Virgin Mary and the Charnel House famous for its ossuary which premises are decorated with human skulls and bones. Our following walking tour in the town we will start at the Italian Court where we will learn more about the mining history of this town. All day trip will be terminated at the Cathedral of St Barbara, considered to be the highest gothic masterpiece found in the Central Europe.
