Trip to Austerlitz Battlefield
The Napoleonic battle of Austerlitz also known as the Battle of the Three Emperors is regarded as the greatest victory of Napoleon Grand Army. The battle, which changed the map of Europe, took place in the region to the east of Brno on December 2 in 1805. The battlefield covered an area of 120 km2 and affected 25 communes.
On this tour we will visit most strategic positions where later raised monuments and the highlight of the tour will be the Baroque Slavkov Castle which hosted during the battle all Three Emperors. On our way back to Brno we will make stop at The Cairn of Peace Memorial which was built to honour all the victims of the Battle of Austerlitz.
